ST. PAUL EPOXY
FLOOR INSTALLATION
St. Paul has some of the oldest residential slabs in the metro — pre-WWII detached garages throughout Highland Park, Mac-Groveland, Crocus Hill, and the West End. We do a lot of full coating removal here, deep crack repair, and pitting fill before any new system goes down.

WHAT WE SEE
ON ST. PAUL SLABS
St. Paul's housing stock skews even older than Minneapolis in many neighborhoods — Highland Park, Mac-Groveland, Cathedral Hill, and Crocus Hill all have detached garages from the 1920s through the 1950s. Those slabs have seen close to a century of Minnesota winters and show it: spalling at the apron edges, deep pitting in the parking footprint, scaling along the overhead-door track from generations of salt, and frequently old painted or coated surfaces that have to come off completely before any new system can bond. Hilly geography in many St. Paul neighborhoods also means drainage problems show up at slab joints and edges.
Pre-WWII slabs are a different prep conversation than suburban slabs. We walk the floor, identify every weak spot, plan the grinding pattern around the worst sections, and don't quote a coating system until we know exactly what the slab needs underneath it.
- Severe spalling and pitting on pre-1960 detached garage slabs
- Old painted or coated surfaces almost always require full mechanical removal
- Hillside drainage means snowmelt pools at slab edges, accelerating freeze/thaw damage
- Diamond grinding on every job — no acid wash, no shortcuts
- Sherwin-Williams industrial epoxy and polyaspartic products
- 10-year written warranty on every installation
