GARAGE EPOXY FLOORS
IN ROGERS, MN
Rogers is one of the newer-construction-heavy cities in the metro — most of our work here is on slabs from 2000 onward, and a steady flow is on brand-new pours. New concrete always carries curing compound from the finishing process, and that has to be ground off before any coating will bond.
Local Concrete Notes — Rogers
WHAT WE SEE
ON ROGERS SLABS
Rogers is one of the newer-construction-heavy cities in the metro — the vast majority of our work here is on garage slabs from 2000 onward, with a steady flow of brand-new pours from the ongoing build-out. New slabs almost always carry curing compound from the finishing process, and that has to come off mechanically before any coating will bond. The big newer three- and four-stall attached garages common in Rogers subdivisions mean a lot of square footage to prep, and we plan job timing around concrete cure dates whenever a slab is less than 30 days old.
Fresh concrete needs a minimum 28 to 30 day cure before any coating system goes down. Coating earlier than that traps moisture in the slab and almost guarantees bubbling and delamination within the first year. We won't quote a job on a slab that isn't ready.
- New construction slabs need curing-compound removal — they're not 'ready to coat' from the pour
- Concrete needs at least 28 to 30 days of cure before any coating goes down
- Larger attached garages mean longer grinding days, planned out in advance
- Diamond grinding on every job — no acid wash, no shortcuts
- Sherwin-Williams industrial epoxy and polyaspartic products
- 10-year written warranty on every installation
